We didn’t really need another dog, but Frida was tired of being herded around by Diego and what could it hurt to find Diego a new playmate?

It does look like Morrie needs a playmate, but then will you have to find a playmate for Frida too?

Frida no doubt has a new playmate in heaven. Diego is Morrie’s usual playmate but was left at home with a friend when Morrie and I came to the beach for 3 months. He has a little girlfriend here. I’ll do a feature story on them soon. She’s a spunky little pug dog.

Oh — now I understand! Morie has really been naughty!

But not lately, Janet..Most of these photos are months or years old..in fairness to Morrie. More story to follow.

Don’t know whether to laugh or cry? My Sassy, bless her soul, used to drive me crazy with some of her “bad” behavior: couch cushion destroyed, antique end table damaged, living room curtains torn down, gouge in wall (don’t know how she pulled that one off). It’s all a memory now and I can laugh about it, I think!

Morrie has been very good and has not touched one thing in my rental house. There is more to the story though. More about that later!!! Stay tuned.

So frustrating for you! But so adorable for us!

I thought only Labs pulled those kind of stunts! We had a pair once who, when they were pups, escaped their crates (Houdini dogs) and ate the faces off several teddy bears, but were back in their crates innocent as lambs when I found the crime scene next morning. Morrie is adorable.

And he’s a good boy now, with one or two notable exceptions that we’ll discuss later. He is adorable, I agree, which earns him my patience.

Well, your question is answered. Now you know what all it (he) can hurt when you’re not looking. 🙂

He hasn’t torn anything up in months..This was all done before he knew better. I hope he knows better now.

Yes, they grow up to be trained and lovable if the owner does his/her homework. sometimes I wish for a dog, but I think that’s one of those fantasies about walking down the road with a dog at your side. We’ve enough excitement with three cats in our mobile home.

I have that fantasy also, but Morrie is too determined when he picks up a trail. Without a leash, he’d follow one to its end–minus me!

He never ate my teeth, at least. ;o)

Or was it a hearing aid? Memory fails me.

I actually thought of Morrie when I saw this topic of yours. 😀

I’ve prejudiced you all against him. Poor little guy. It never occurred to me to post any other photos other than ones of Morrie, but wish I’d had more time to post new ones. My service was sketchy today and it took forever–and trying to get ready for the art walk tomorrow. Excuses excuses. xo

I think you win the prize for tolerant petmommy. Traveling with three dogs and two cats? Do I have the numbers correct?

One cat with a lot of skin on her nose. Morrie reminds me of Berferd. I laughed at his shenanigans.

If you can’t train the dog, train the people. I failed at both.

Uh Oh…. we are going to look for a dog to add to our family. We are going to look tomorrow! Your photos make me laugh but remind me of a Scottie we once loved named Pepper. Apt name for a spicey pup. Are we ready for the mass destruction? I wonder. 🙂

It is so fun to have a little dog, relatively–one still little enough to curl up next to you on the sofa, or at your feet, at least–and to jump on your lap. He is a handful, true, but so sweet. Getting very dependent, but loves all people, other than one who who walk up fast to him in tennis shoes. Gotta break him of that. Thank goodness most are in flipflops or bare feet at the beach.

I feel your pain. My dog has ruined 16 pillows, 6 dog beds, chewed holes in the backs of my couch, ate the arm off a leather couch, chewed the molding in a room, and bit the blinds and windowsills. But, she is my pride and joy and I love her very much. Things are things and she is my little princess.

I know. I kiss Morrie on the head with great regularity and tell him I love him. He has pretty much stopped his destructive ways, I think because we are spending so much time together. No telling what will happen when we go home.
