Never heard of that form but you wielded it well!

Thanks for the literary education on clerihew! And yours was brilliant!

They are supposed to be corny rhymes and aren’t supposed to scan, but it was hard for me not to write in rhythm. So, it is a sorta-clerihew.

Clerihew … now there’a a new word for me and now I know.
Is this spurious or just an observation. I am curious to know if the graphic is of her? For if it is? I’ve seen better. What actually jumps out from that picture is the roll of fat above the belt line. Which belies a youthful appearance. I have one too but I try not to draw attention to it; with that type of pant.
Beauty can be just skin deep.
One that changes as we sleep.
If the beauty we wish to keep?
Stay away from garments that cleat …. Cheers Jamie.

I’m with you, Judy. I believe I wrote one to Mr. Clerihew himself one time, letting him know what I thought of the form. 😉 You have done a fun one here, though. 🙂

Okay, I feel validated in my hatred of the form now. What is your stand on Limericks?

Ouch! I have been enjoying the NaPoWriMo more than I thought I would…. I usually use MUCH poetic license on the poems they offer…. but it is still fun!

What is a poetic license for if not to use, right?
