Thought I’d go in and say goodnight to the kittens in their suite. As usual, they piled right on. I was Skyping to forgottenman and said I hated to disturb them, but the mosquitos were dive-bombing. He asked if I’d gotten photos and I said no and I couldn’t get out from under to go get my camera. He then suggested my computer cam, but it actually isn’t that easy to get photos when you can’t see what you are shooting. An additional problem is preserving one’s modesty while shooting random photos of kittens draped all over your nightgowned body. At any rate, here are the photos that made it past the censor:
As usual, you can click on the first photo to enlarge all and view as a slideshow.
Haha — I was just thinking how alert they all look when I came to one that wasn’t so alert! These are wonderful photos, and will make wonderful memories of the kitties that once were small!

Yes — I’m in Aliso Viejo, inland from Laguna Beach.

Did you know I once lived in Huntington Beach? Used to come to Laguna to sit on the beach every day and write. 1981-1983.

I didn’t realize that — I love being near Laguna — but don’t go anywhere near there during the summer festival season except to see the Pageant! I often go and watch the boats and the birds at Dana Point Harbor instead.

One of the first poems I wrote was at Dana Point. I used to go there and write as well.. before it was developed.

I used to go to the Sawdust Festival. Still have some of the pieces I bought there. Went to the pageant once. Very impressive.

I haven’t been to Sawdust this year or last — before that I used to haunt that festival. And I have been to the Pageant every year I think for the last 25 or so years. It’s always a little different (theme, selected pieces), and always impressive. This year they wove the theme nicely through the evening, tying all the pieces together into a nice little story about a father and son writing letters to each other as the son went on a “Grant Tour.”

I forgot to mention that Ollie loves to comb my hair! Tonight he got overzealous and was actually raking my scalp!!!

I have a friend who, every time I comment on one of their newest exploits, always says, “Did you get a photo?” He instigates all of these pics. Well, some of them.
