I don’t usually see things in clouds, etc. but this cracked me up — it looks like a fully cooked roast pig!

I hadn’t noticed that, Janet. How are you?

If my reaction to this shot says anything, I’m not sure how I am! In truth, though, I’m doing pretty well. One surgery done 3 weeks ago — still taking eye drops for another week for that eye. Second surgery was rescheduled till tomorrow — I’m a little nervous about it, but hopefully it will go as well as the first one die. Basal cell eyelid surgery still scheduled for the week after Thanksgiving, and two other issues to be reviewed between now and then! I’m taking things one day at a time.

Maintenance takes up a lot of time at this age, doesn’t it? But perhaps we’ll be good for another 100,000 miles.

My mother lasted to 96 — I have a good long way to get there! I’m not used to having to do any more than the annual screening exams — this feels a little like torture, with three major issues to deal with all at once and the house thrown in for good measure! Basically, though, I’m doing fine!

My grandmother lasted that long. My mother to 91. My grandfather, father and husband all died at 70.

All the men in my dad’s family died before they were 65 — but that was a different era, and they probably all were heavy smokers, including my physician dad, who told me at a young age that he would probably die of lung cancer or heart disease!

Neither my dad nor husband drank or smoked. I doubt if my grandpa did, unless it was a pipe. I never met him, regrettably.
