New Plans: Xmas Eve, 2017

When I said I wasn’t going to put up a tree because of the kittens and therefore wasn’t going to have my usual Xmas Party/Meal, I didn’t know that events out of our control would change those non-plans. When Yolanda’s husband went into the hospital a few days ago and I learned they weren’t celebrating Xmas because she didn’t have time to make preparations, my tree came down from storage upstairs and I started planning a meal for her family here. The turkey is in the fridge, dressing prepared, vegetables peeled and cut up, cranberries and spuds and gravy ingredients ready to be prepared or put out tomorrow, table all set, poinsettias purchased and put out with candles, presents under the tree. It may not be their usual Xmas meal, but they’ll find out first hand the way gringos celebrate the day. Happy Xmas Eve to all. (Increase size of photos by clicking on first photo.) About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

I am glad you did not let the kittens spoil your holiday magic. These pictures look festive.
