Simultaneous
Galaxies spin out of sight
far out in this selfsame night
where I attempt to journey in
to universes within my skin.
Whole worlds inside that I can’t know.
I feel sometimes they guide me, though.
How else explain my need to range
into environments more strange.
Like many, thinking I’m unique
when many others who also seek
share a larger journey all,
trapped together on this ball
that spins our world through time and space
taking us all to the same place!
For Napowrimo.
I also really like your picture.

Feeling this. We are unique though, no matter what anybody says…
I’ve noticed that I need all the day to write mine and then I throw something together quickly almost at midnight (which is right about now). I have zero poetry stamina. One third done, two thirds to go… I need to go out and write somewhere else again. Got smiles today though, that’s never bad.

The point I’m trying to make is not that we aren’t unique, but that we are all part of one big whole and therefore face the same destiny as well as the same origins. Somewhere recently I saw the (paraphrased) statement that mankind is a way for the universe to communicate with itself. Loved that.

This is lovely. I’ve been reading different stuff, it seems. About how you are always a part of humanity, no matter how much you may stand out, and as such as predictable as the whole system always is. And predictions suck. :p

Ah not predictable. The end is the same for all but the route and means to it isn’t.
