It’s actually weird. No matter HOW many time I see them, every time I see a Canna, I think of my friend Mary’s mother warning us to NOT go to THAT PART of the backyard because we could NOT disturb the Cannas.
Her’s were very bright red.

I don’t think you can disturb the cannas. They grow like weeds in my garden. Couldn’t kill them short of pulling them up by the roots. Toward the end of their blooming, the petals fall off easily if disturbed. Perhaps that was what she was talking about.
