Rash words often generate a sort of tidal force
that set us on a feckless, anger-driven course
that minds no preset schedule, no life path we have chosen.
All of our potential null, we seem now to be frozen
in a pointless fury that drives us to an end—
that inevitable collision that waits around the bend.
