WordPress has informed me it is our anniversary. Strange, because I posted my first post in March of 2013. What else could it be an anniversary of??? I have a feeling I’ll never know.
Post script: By an odd turn of events, forgottenman just reminded me that this is the anniversary of my husband’s death! And, I then realized that three times in the past week, I have thought I saw him out of the corner of my eye. . . .just fleeting. . . .One way or another, it has been brought to my attention that 17 years ago, one week after the Twin Towers bombing, my husband passed away and a bit over a month later I set off for Mexico alone. How things can change in 17 years. Happy Anniversary, Bob. In 14 years of marriage, we only remembered to celebrate our wedding anniversary once, and years later we discovered we’d celebrated it on the wrong day! I guess we established a theme for ourselves, and for me ever after.

They celebrate when you signed up, not when you wrote something. A lot of people sign up and never post anything. I’m sure they get a notice of their anniversary every year. Happy whatever!

Have a look at forgottenman’s comment on the Happy Anniversary blog now, Marilyn. Curiouser and curiouser.

I had not planned on mentioning it, but since you just published your Anniversary post, I believe this is the anniversary of Bob’s passing. I just logged in to your blog as you – it says you joined in Sept, 2012. Also, I note that your blog only exists because of your & Tony’s book, which only exists because of Bob’s death.

Pretty insensitive of WP, I’d say. You may know that Jackie and I have two wedding anniversaries: 2nd March (50 years) and 17th October (1 year)

WP was unaware of the synchronicity. Sept 18 actually was when we set the blog up, in anticipation of having one ready when the book came out. I just didn’t blog anything until March of the next year so didn’t see that as the anniversary of my blog. It was only coincidence that the day we set it up was the anniversary of my husband’s death. And ironic since the book was about his death. Just a string of synchronicities…
Now I must ask if you and Jackie divorced and remarried or whether you just renewed vows on the 17th of October.

The answer is contained in this clarification post: https://derrickyjknight.com/2014/01/05/my-branch-of-the-family-tree/
We remarried on 17th October last year, coincidentally the third anniversary of my brother Chris’s death.

Happy Anniversary of whatever, Judy, as long as there is a cause to celebrate!
