Beautifully captured. Martha beat me to it – i have 3 blue ones like this and a pure white one. 🙂
They are not hard to kill… they are bloody impossible to kill! I tried digging one out that was growing between two hedges – the plant was removed but i had left one or two roots underground. They spread and shooted under the hedges, meaning i now have 3 plants after digging one of my two plants out! I never water them, we’ve had a half inch of rain since October and many 35 Deg C days with blistering sunshine, and they are flowering wonderfully!?
They will send roots out underground which may shoot some 3 metres from the main plant. Left untended they will take over your garden and, ultimately, the house!
I think it’s plumbago. I had one in my yard in San Diego. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plumbago_auriculata

Thank you! I had a BIG one in my yard that started as a TINY pretty plant. It tried to eat my house (ha ha).
