I used to grow these way back when, but none ever bloomed like that. I guess being outside in the warm sun helps 😀

Hmmm… just googled it… poisonous to animals and humans and has unbelievable spikes! – Yikes!

Yes.. the white sap is very poisonous.

Still a pretty flower though… reminds me of a Poinsettia so would they be flowers or bracts?

They are definitely flowers. I love how they grow in rectangular arrangements. The thorns are lethal, though. Just had a very large 18 year old one removed as it made trimming the other plants around it so dangerous. I still have this one, however.
