Nostalgia Reexamined
The sublimity remembered when memory has its turn
often has beginnings in nostalgia’s timely churn.
That teenage bliss that we recall as being overjoyed
if remembered correctly would be being over-boyed.
Our adoration of the past is easier than giving
all the same attention to the life that we are living.
Prompt words today are nostalgia, overjoyed, adoration and sublimity.
How lovely you look. Was that my dress? π

I think you had it made for rush, didn’t you? I wore your dress for prom two different years..

This is the only photo I have of Nick. Betty wasn’t around to photograph us in later years.. and I don’t have one other photo of me with any other prom date. I was too embarrassed to have mom take one, I guess.

Over-boyed. What a great word! I’m going to steal it and use it often π
