There are strict rules about what can and cannot be done in Mykonos. Property owners are required to whitewash their buildings three times a year and to use only prescribed colors. Obviously, white and blue. Click on photos to enlarge.
But these homeowners found a way to make their doors unique by making them look as though they were chipped out of the cliff face. Click on photos to enlarge.
Wonderful doors!

Yes indeed, those colours definitely say Mykonos. Great shots 🙂

Mykonos is so beautifully quintessentially Greek island, isn’t it, Judy? Kudos to the creativity of the “cliff” surround and of course I love the blue and white.

The doors are wonderful — and they seem to lead to equally wonderful indoors spaces!

The ones I saw (shops) were very simple and beautiful and white.
