This is the first time this hibiscus has bloomed since I planted it. Nice surprise this afternoon!

I am so constantly amazed at how important beauty is in nature, on every level. Makes me feel less guilty about spending so much time creating art and words.

You have so many beautiful hibiscus — do they ever all bloom at the same time?!

They pretty much bloom all year long. Some constantly. Others bloom one to three at a time, drop their flowers and it may take a week or more to grow others. There is no time when there aren’t dozens of blooms, however. My bushier ones are covered with them. I have at least a dozen varieties.. perhaps more.
