I thought this would be my first Xmas of not having any gifts at all and it hasn’t mattered a bit to me. Never thought that would happen. Ha. But then, a friend gave me a “normal” Barbie doll when she came for comida yesterday––one that has real believable physical dimensions and I have it sitting under the tree, so it was an early Xmas gift. I guess long ago she told me about them and I said I’d like to see one. She came back after a delayed stay in the States due to Coronavirus, and brought it to me. Would you believe this is my first Barbie ever? She hadn’t been invented when I was at the doll stage. Must say I rather like this one. I put all the stickers on her big travel trunk and tried out all the accessories that snap onto her thumb for use–toothbrush, toothpaste, camera, guitar, cell phone. She even came with her own cat which does not connect to anything—you know cats.
Aww, it’s cute. I never had s as Barbie either. Though my daughters both had the. Love the little Kitty too.

My favorites are the toothbrush and toothpaste which have little rings on the ends that slip tightly over her thumb so it looks like she is holding them. Yeah, I must admit we had a little play session.

I like this, so much nicer than my very bare Festivus pole which is lonely standing there alone~! But it is a lonely Christmas in these times, even with the occasional visits.

Looks good! This is my first year with no decorations or tree. Getting out wrapping found a vase with evergreens and a Chrisymas ball, so that’s on the table. I miss it all and especially the lights.

I didn’t know there was a normal Barbie. Gave up on her long ago, lol.

I’m speechless. Otherwise, it’s fabulous. Never ‘played with dolls’ but I now have two huggable stuffies!

No presents under our tree.,either. We did put up the tree and decorations, though. I love the memories of all our Christmases together, especially the stockings with the empty boxes of Russel Stovers. Mother did love her chicolates.

I tried to send flowers to you and Marti and Patty, but every place said you had to pick them up.. and they only had Xmas arrangements. I wanted to send regular exotic flower arrangements with no lilies (Jim) but my efforts proved futile so just imagine flowers from me !!!

I can just hear her chuckling as she pilfered them one-by-one. I like to think they were there originally. Then she succumbed to temptations.. Like I did yesterday to the four cookies my neighbors brought me. I cut them in quarters and halves because they were all different and served them to dinner guests, but we also had tiramisu so I think they only ate one half of a cookie at the most. I had 1/4 of each kind just to taste them and wrapped up the rest for Yolanda but over the course of the night I kept going by those cookies and had to have another taste. Then made coffee and by the end of the cup, I’d polished them all of.. Didn’t even get photos and they were so pretty! This morning I’d gained two pounds! Surely that can’t be so…

Two days later, those three pounds still haven’t come off.
