Happy New Year! Hope you all were able to bid a successful adieu to 2020. ( We also had cheese fondue for beginners. A naughty ending to a naughty year.)

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

My daughter and I made it to midnight. A chocolate mousse was a highlight of our evening too, and watching the movie, “What’s Got Love to Do With It,” Tina Turner’s story. Happy New Year, Claudia

We had Fred and Karla here for French onion soup. They left at 9:15 (3 bottles of champagne later) and Jim nd I were in bed at 9:30. Our usual New Year’s Eve neighborhood gathering went by the wayside, obviously. I can’t remember ever not lasting till midnight before. I envy you the chocolate fondue, by the way.
