About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

OH WOW~! If I didn’t know better I would say that the first photo was of Eastern Montana or the Western Dakotas…. The Greasy Grass was a Dead give away….Dead Indian that is~! Beautiful but forlorn.

And yes the winds do blow a bit there~!

A side note. We drilled a hole about 150-200 feet deep every ¼ mile (1320 feet). As a friendly token of appreciation we always offered to leave the holes open so the ranchers could drop a windmill pump down the hole to have water for their stock. Well this one rancher said that he only wanted them every third hole because he did not have enough wind to turn more than that~! No he was not a Dutchman~!
