Sunday Stills: Gray

I had no idea how few gray photos I had. I guess that’s what you get when you live in Mexico, and I’m certainly not complaining!

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

No. It is an original drawing by an artist who lives here lakeside. Isn’t it fabulous? We had booths next to each other at an open studio and when I asked to buy this she asked to trade for my work instead. Lucky me.

Hi Judy, You did well finding gray in Mexico. They don’t have that color in their palate. When in doubt, turn your photos into black and white photos. That was brilliant. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have enjoyed our zoom conversations so much. I’m so glad to get to know you. ๐Ÿ™‚

It really is. It’s nice to have friends interested in the things you are and you can visit from the comforts of your own homes. Next step, passing food through the computer. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the colors of your house.

It’s much prettier now. And you have the sunlight so it doesn’t seen dark at all. Our home is painted a mid beige and has windows on two sides only because it’s a condo. The windows face south but they have large pine trees in front of all the windows – which I love. We are discussing painting a much lighter color and getting white plantation shutters to lighten things up.

Your colors are in in Mexico. No one cares here what you do to the inside of your condo. We wanted to screen in our patio so we could let the cats out. The Home Owners Association turned us down.

We could pass recipes, all make them and eat them together! I have a recipe for a 5 minute cupcake made in a cup in the microwave, for instance. Silly but it would be fun. Simplest recipe you can think of to share.

I imagine you could even freeze them. I am just too lazy anymore to make cookies, but if I could make the dough ahead of time and just pop it in the overn, i could probably deal with that.

I’ve been on a fasting diet for the past 10 months so I only eat between the hours of 3 and 9. It’s worked well for me, although the loss has been slow, but I’ve lost 45 lbs. and want to keep going. Guess the fact we meet at noon would mean I’d have to break my fast once a week–or move up my time. Sounds crazy, but adhering to the hours has seemed to work. Easiest diet I’ve ever been on. I just need to know what time it is…ha.

Wow, that’s a lot of fasting, and a lot of weight loss. It’s not working for me. I can cram in a ton of food during eating hours.
