Moon in Flux

These are 20 different photos of the full moon taken within a period of a few minutes from my backyard. The only editing tools I used were cropping, light adjustment, color, saturation, and sharpen—all aspects of the Photos Application on my Mac. You’ll get a much better image of each photo if you click on them. The two photos that show two moon are photos of the moon and its reflection in my pool. They are shown in the order in which I took them.

Really difficult to choose a favorite from this bunch. Each is mystical and magical in its own way. I love how the clouds seem to curl around la bella luna.

I liked that, too. I was using my cell phone so didn’t get the quality I would have with my camera and tripod but then if I’d depended on them I probably wouldn’t have even gotten the shots. I like the spontaneity of my iPhone.

I couldn’t choose a favorite, although, not for artistic reasons I think the reflection of the moon in the pool is pretty cool. Love the atmosphere. These seem to have an almost abstract feel.
