Ah, To Be Young Again
I envy the quality
of their frivolity:
kids with the vision
of nuclear fission
filling their rollicking
ceaseless wild frolicking,
savoring everything
that each new day will bring—
clandestine meetings
or open-air greetings.
Ah, to be young
with our dirges unsung.
I’d roll in more clover
Could I do it over.
Prompt words today are rollicking, clandestine, vision, savor and quality.
With 6 kids in my home, none above 10, I feel like a kid myself among them 🙂
Wonderful pictures to accompany the thoughts.

Are they your children? My husband had 8 children so there was a time in my life where there were lots of them! A lot of these photos are from children’s camps we conducted in Mexico. Such a joy.

Except for my son, rest of the gang belongs to my brothers.
And if I include 4 other kids from two sisters of mine, then the team is all ready for a noise-filled day at my home 😁

I especially like the ones of you, often in your white princess like clothes that your mom so proudly put you in, then you would often go out and sit in the dirt… To me that would be the Judy Dykstra I envision~!

Wonderful pictures. Your “kid” pictures are ALWAYS great. I want to be so young that the news doesn’t mean anything to me at all.

Lovely pictures and enticing verse. I am, however, ambivalent about such a wish, because there are bits to come I wouldn’t want to experience again – unless, of course, I could change them 🙂
