In Summation
Words have been my teachers and in their composition,
I’ve found my life’s real purpose. In making them my mission,
I’ve faced my major phobias and without a doubt,
I’ve reined in quite a few of them to somehow work them out.
I have no feelings of regret, no reason to repine.
Of any life that I could choose, I think I’d still choose mine.
Prompt words today are composition, repine, teacher and phobia.
Wonderful. I sometimes wonder if I would chose mine.

Have you given it some thought? When I do I realize all of the worst things somehow led to the best and so I accept them all.

I am still recovering from some of the worst. I doubt it will lead to the best. I am glad that has happened for you.

Just look for the openings and take them, Lauren. I just may happen for you!

Sounds like an epitaph or a gravestone inscription..ha. But really just what the prompt words led me to.

Oh Judy I really like this one, it just cries out for plagiarization and is going into my “keeper file”~! So don’t be surprised if it pops up on one of my future post or emails~! (giving credit of course~!) BTW thanks for posting that photo (again) with your horny fingers above your head, but I had to expand it to be able to count them.

Ha.. I tried cropping them off (photographically, not physically) but wanted to use a recent photo and decided they reflect my personality better than the cropped version. Still trying not to take life too seriously. But giving lots of thought that I most likely have 20 good years left and that is sobering.

Well said. I’d choose mine too, problems notwithstanding. Because everything in it made me who I am. Whether that’s good or not, I suppose you’d have to ask others.

Funny, but as I finished writing it, I wondered if you would respond with the same thoughts. I know you’ve had your trials lately, but guess we all have or will and it seems to me that in spite of health issues and the loss of your little guys, that you two are very content with each other.

Girlfriend—you are ever powerful, creative,… and funny. Oh, how I love your verse, the cathartic journey created for us turtle!

You never tell me how you are doing, Dale, but I suspect your philosophy is much the same as mine? I’ve seen evidence of it.
