Beautiful Judy, so well laid out and so much done in less than a year. Turning what was a trash collecting place into such beauty. Of course you have help that I can’t get and mine is still a collection of dead limbs and overgrown weeds. But I am working on it and have help of nature.. One more thing you need is a little nook to sit or hang another hammock. But I guess the view from the house may be all you want right now. Love it~!!

I was tempted to put a swing down there, then perhaps a glider swing–and a little pond or fountain. But, to be truthful, I like looking at it from above so neither glider nor swing would probably be used and I like my hammock up above in the upper garden where I can get to it more easily
. It’s hard to see, but I have a large arbor with a bench and table in it at the far end of the lot. It is now covered with Thunbergia Grandiflora vines so it is rather invisible. I wanted it out in the middle, but Pasiano requested that it be put there to provide shade in the hot afternoon sun.

Yes the first time you mentioned Pasiano I felt that he was probably very well named and would know what would fit into his native world. I also noticed that your garden is best appreciated from above where the full layout of it can be seen. Maybe one large bolder or cut log, big enough to sit on while strolling through the garden or for a hot sweaty pasiano to sit on after a hot day of digging and weeding, maybe under that arbor you mention.
On my place I do have such boulders and even up above in one very secluded location I actually placed a metal park bench tucked and hidden in a grove of old growth junipers. This in a secret place where the endangered golden cheek warbler nests. They only use the bark of an “old growth” for their nest. And I keep it as my “escondrijo”. These tiny birds, so rare, are a joy to watch in such a secluded place where too many people would want to go for photos, so I do not much let locals know about it.
I once had a rare wood pecker nesting on my place and when the word got out I had people (local birding society) coming out wanting to see it… Bad for me and the bird, because she never returned after that one season as they were rarely seen this far north of the Rio Grande.

I do have boulders scattered throughout the lot. Hard to see as the ornamental grass has grown up so high. The rest are piled in one corner and are nearly covered by plants now as well.
So glad you’ve created a spot for your golden cheeked warblers…

And, I actually spell Paciano’s name incorrectly. Instead of a passionate man, he is a peaceful one but I suspect he may be both.

Well I am happy you got that part straight~! Ha ha The rocks I have placed around my place are about 30 inches high and are perfect to for sitting on or placing planters on. You may have seen the in photos.. Picked up my friend so I am not spending much time on my computer.
