After a year, my new crop of bananas was finally ripe and ready to be cut off the bunch. I ended up carrying 34 pounds of bananas up to the house in two trips. This yielded 12 gallon bags full of sliced bananas to freeze for smoothies and banana bread. That filled up a 16X8X11 inch space in my freezer. See proof of my labors below. Click on photos to enlarge and read captions. Forgottenman insisted you’d be interested in this. I had my reservations, but I usually comply with requests, so here is the proof of my day’s labors.

You reminded me of the Harry Chapin song, “carrying [34] pounds of bananas.” Looks like a worthy endeavor you will be enjoying for awhile. So neat to be able to grow your own bananas.

I’ve never nown anybody who grew their own bananas! These look wonderful, though a lot of work to slice them for freezing! I love the idea of freezing them for smoothies/breads/etc! Enjoy them!

I put frozen bananas and frozen blueberries and a bit of soy milk or oat milk in the blender and it makes incredible ice cream/sorbet.

I wish my youngest granddaughter were there to help you; I taught her to make a triple-chocolate banana bread, sugar free and gluten free.

As soon as I figure out appropriate packing materials. They have to be pink, lavender, and sparkly, with unicorns on them. I am so not used to little girly girls!

He will be so vain about once again being right! He’ll see your thanks for himself but will refrain from saying “I told you so,” being such a humble soul. Right, Forgottenman????
