These unassuming little moss roses never suspected they’d be in the limelight today.

I wish that I could get mine to bloom more. I have even had all of my succulents suffering this summer both inside and outside. I lost one little purple magnolia and it was almost like loosing a pet. Even a couple of my cenizo (Texas sage) suffered so I gave them a big pruning. This is a plant that should never give problems from the heat~!
But a beautiful thing happened today, we got an unusual short hard rain and all of the lilies in my pond started blooming, all at the same time.. When the rain stopped they closed back up.. This has been one of the strangest summers I have had in a long time…

Lovely! It’s been too hot to do much “yard work” in my little patch of ground this summer!
