It always astonishes me how beautiful dandelions can be when viewed close up. Here is one, along with a handful of the common daisy. Laid-back “D’s.”
Also for Cee’s FOTD
(Should handmade flowers count? You decide.)

It was so dry this year we had almost no dandelions! I didn’t think that was possible.

I thought they showed up no matter what.

So did I. But it went dry really early. We were in serious drought by the beginning of May. Apparently they need some rain and there was almost none for months.

Delightful. Don’t see why handmade wouldn’t count

After I post, Forgottenman comes in and dawdles and sometimes adds things. He always asks permission. So the Daffodil was his clever addition. He also discovers my big mistakes like writing “bride of honor” instead of “maid of honor” in the Family Secrets poem. I guess my mind combined Bride’s Maid with Maid of Honor.

Dandelions are such pretty flowers, but they really take over if you let them!

The dandelion doesn’t even look like a dandelion up close. More gorgeous somehow.

Love these Judy, as Serendippity says, the dandelion doesn’t even look like dandelion, just sheer beauty.
