For Cee’s FOTD. Photo of Leah’s portion of the altar. The altar isn’t quite finished. The area in the middle of the arch needs to be completed by Stephanie’s fine hand. My niece Stephanie, nephew Ryan and Ryan’s sweetie Leah are visiting. I’ll post photos later.
Okay. Why DEAD marigolds. They look pretty lively. I wanted to get even closer to the altar, but was foiled by this being photography. So I can’t just walk up to it and really LOOK. But I really wanted to.

Marilyn, at first look I also wondered why “dead marigolds”. Then I remembered it’s an altar for the Mexican Day of the Dead. So, “Marigolds for Day of the Dead”.

AH. Now I get it. Thank you. I am SO sorry you lost Diego. At least you are losing them slowly. We lost both terriers in a matter of weeks in the middle of lockdown and we miss them terribly. Morrie looks GREAT!

Thanks, Janet. I love this tradition. My nephew did one side table, his sweetie did the other, and stephanie and I did the middle.
