What a beautiful bird! And how lucky you are that he kept you company for your swim!

Beautiful bird! What IS it? We don’t have anything like that around here! That looks thoroughly tropical. I have never yearned more for warm weather then I do right now. It’ so damps and cold. I think I need something woolly.

Is it an oriole? We have them and it is yellow.. I’ll have to investigate it. I took this from the pool!

I love the children’s book The Big Orange Splot, which mentions a frangipani tree, and I’d never gotten around to looking up what one looks like. Now I know!

This is not a very good photo of the tree. Every year it loses all its leaves. Here is a better photo of a frangipani (plumeria) tree: https://judydykstrabrown.com/2018/07/08/plumeria-sunday-trees-july-8-2018/

Thank you, Judy! That is a much better photo. I’m going to reread the book today with the picture in mind. 🙂

Did you zoom in to see the flowers? They are so simple and beautiful.

I just zoomed in. They really are beautiful. A tree to relax under with a good book.
