That is the most purple plant — okay, maybe very dark violet? — I’ve yet seen. It looks like it should glow in the dark.

On my screen, it looks very deep violet or purple. That’s why you never can tell the true color of anything. Whatever color you call it, it is beautiful.

I do, too. Hardy and very different from most of my flowers. I am allergic to floral scents so can’t have lavender, but salvia is similar.
