The palm flowers are dried and about to start raining down on everything below . This is one stalk overlooked by the tree cutters. I’m just hoping a big wind doesn’t come up and blow them all into the pool.ย Pretty, but messy. It’s good to have leaves and flowers on the Plumeria, though. It has been naked branches since before Xmas.

Didn’t realize palms had flowers like that!

Almost everything that bears fruit bears some sort of flower first. The flowers of palm trees grow on an inflorescence–a flowering stem which carries a great number of tiny flowers. It is the reproductive portion of a palm tree.

I wish I could smell those beautiful flowers, but you’re pretty far from the Bark of Beyond

I haven’t heard that phrase “bark of beyond” since I was a little girl! Now I have to look it up to see if I can figure out its origin.

Back of Beyond — Tracy misread it in one of my posts as “Bark of Beyond” and I am going with that as it’s more accurate.

Oh you are right… No wonder I hadn’t heard it for so long! I’m losing in, Martha….

Naw. Tracy thought she was losing it but she was just being accurate. You thought you were losing it but it wasn’t a true quote. You’re fine, Judy.
