Does anyone know how I can stop Jetpack from sounding a notification on my phone every time someone views my blog? I don’t want to turn off the sound and haptics because I want to hear phone calls and other messages.  Help!  Driving me crazy. This has only happened since we were forced to switch to Jet pack.

        So in your app in notification section you should see a small gear icon (setting icon) on the top left. You can change the notifications setting from there. Either you stop all notifications for the app or you can select what you want and what not.

          I found notifications on my phone but it just says Display as Count, Stack or List

          I have Siri announce notifications turned off

          Ah… in Siri suggestions, I turned off Jetpack. Should that do it?
          There are a hundred other things that are turned on but they don’t make sounds when I used them, so perhaps this isn’t the right place.

            You have asked to stop notifications in phone right? In your phone you may have Jetpack app from which you may getting those notifications. If that is correct then you have to go to that jetpack app and you will see the notifications tab there and setting icon.

            Here is my email ID iamtamanjeet@gmail.com you can send me hi there along with screenshot of notification .. i will try send you the step by step guide to fix it. If that seems easy to you.

              So generous. I haven’t heard a ding lately so I may have fixed it..If the sound notifications start coming in again I’ll do as you suggest. Thanks, thanks.

              Tamanjeet, I just deleted the Jetpack app from my phone. Hopefully this will remedy it. Looks like I can no longer see comments but I can see them on my computer and at least my phone no longer dings every few moments. Wish they would leave things alone!!!! WP was working fine for me. Guess they are going to keep doing this until if is impossible for me to follow it eventually.

    I had the same issue on my iPhone. I had no luck on the app itself, but I finally fixed it by going into settings/apps/jetpack. I don’t even want the badges!

      Ha.. You are ahead of me, Paula. I don’t even know what badges are! I love getting comments and likes but don’t want my phone to ding every time I get one. And never did find how to turn it off. The solution was to remove Jetpack and amazed I figured out how to do that. Nothing makes me feel older than trying to deal with the daily changes they come up with online…Thanks for your comment. Makes me feel better as it is true that misery loves company.

    I turned off email notifications and even the orange (or whatever color dot) when some likes or comments on a post. It was annoying. Turning that off in Jetpack won’t have any effect on talking on your iPhone or tones from other apps, like iMessage.

      Thanks, Fandango. I just couldn’t find anything folks advised doing so I turned off Jetpack on my phone..It’s okay. I really don’t need to see them there and I don’t even know how to post from my phone. My expertise, as much of it as there is, is limited to my computer, and that is fast waning as they keep changing stuff. Drives me crazy. I appreciate so your offering your help! Strange these friends on blogging that we communicate with every day but will never see!!!
