Vidalia Onion Dicer. No More Tears!
Sauerkraut and mustard, ketchup, onions, relish—
a hotdog was created merely to embellish.
The tears came later, when the bill came. Go HERE to read the story of the thirty dollar hot dog. And you’ll just have to imagine the story of my my recent forty-dollar corn dog eaten at a hotel in Billings, Montana. Pictured below, its story is too painful to relate. No onions, this time.
Here is the link for the prompt, and here are more poems on the subject for dVerse Poets: Vidalia Onions

Ha~! and a longer story about an island in the middle of the Mississippi river, concerning Jim Bowie and his knife, but Vidalia, 10-15, and A&M white onions are always the best, they are sweet and do not have much of a bite~! Spoken by a true Coonass~!

10-15 onions? Is that a name or a quantity?

That is their name, and also the date that they are supposed to be planted. Texas A&M does a lot of research on hybridizing and developing such plants. They are very similar to the A&M onion which I think is white. See, stick with me and you will learn all about your peas & onions~!
First, you make a “rue”, and slice and grill the onions until brown, in a hot iron skillet, add tabasco, and other spices then place your chicken in the rue and simmer slowly until tender. Vala, Etoiffee~!

They have to be planted on Oct 15? All of them? What is the point of that?

Oh Judy,,,,, they were developed in Texas and that is the prime date for them to do the best in TEXAS~! In South Dakota they may be called “hot house onions” because your summer is so short~! Read the URL on onions, it is very interesting, Now I’ve got to go, my French Onion Soup is almost ready~!

And food in restaurants everywhere in the U.S. has gotten ridiculously expensive. It’s a shock every time I go there.

Yes — I used to say I could get out of a restaurant for $15 for supper — now it’s more like $30+, and that’s without any liquor!

Ha! Two guys are traveling through the desert, one carrying a bag of gold, the other – a bag of canned food. They get lost, they get tired, and they get hungry. Finally, they sit down to rest, and the one carrying food takes out a can of tuna, opens it, and starts eating. “Can you sell me a can of tuna?” – asks his companion. “Certainly – $100.” “What? $100 for a can of tuna? Are you crazy?” “Well, go ahead, shop around.”
