About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Wow the good side of it is that you now once again have a bright new paint job. I Love those planters, whether handy, leggy or otherwise, I have a few such “make-do” decorations, one that I can’t decide whether a rock I have is George Washington, Franklyn Roosevelt, or only me. It is so big and in tall growth so I can’t easily move it, but will try to photograph it to see if anyone recognizes who it is.

The “planters” were two huge statues my husband and I bought the day we bought our house. They were of a precolumbian man and woman and we loved them. Later, the cats knocked first one and then the other off the pedestal it was perched on and so I turned them into planters. I’ll try to find a photo of the statues. They were beautiful.
So sad when they were destroyed.
