Name the Bottom Lot???? (Help!)

What should I name it?

Here is some brainstorming but nothing seems just right. Can anyone come up with a name for a little park that is mainly for the enjoyment of people walking by? If you don’t know its history, read up on it HERE.

Pasatiempo  Killing Time

Jardin de Paso  Garden in Passing

Prados Serenos  Serene Meadows

Lote Vacio   Empty Lot

Pasando el Tiempo  Passing Time

Jardín de los Placeres  Garden of Pleasures

Belleza al Pasar   Beauty in Passing

Jardín de Sueños. Garden of Dreams

Jardines de Inspiración  Inspiration Gardens

Pasando Elegante Passing Fancy

I’d really appreciate your help in coming up with a name for the gardens I (and Yolanda and Pasiano and José and the bulldozer guy have worked so hard to create. And continue to create.

Tell me your favorite three names from above, prioritized as 1 2 3.  Then tell me at least one original name you can come up with!

Muchas Gracias!!!  Judy

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

I’m not feeling very creative at the moment, but would like something with the word “calm” or “meditation” or “relaxation” Pleasure has implications that I amnot sure you want, but you could use “Pleasant” instead. Will the garden have benches? Will it be open for all to enjoy, or just to look at through the fence?

Just to look at through the fence unless someone wants a key which I would give. But there aren’t walking paths so not very even walking. I’ve had sculptures and plants stolen from the outer walls, so want to protect the pieces there. Sad this is necessary.

    Pasatiempo 2. Jardin de Suenos

That’s all; the others don’t ring my bell.

Here are some others, in no particular order: Jardin de Vecinos Jardin de ( insert name of any favorite dog, living or dead) Todos Juntos Jardin de Paz Que Pasa? Huellos Hola! Jardin Jardin por todos Jardin Tranquilo Para disfrutarse Su Jardin Que te descante

That’s enough for now; I’m going to bed.

I get the feeling of peace when I look at the photos and I would bet in the hectic sounds you hear down the hill it is a “peaceful place” but such words are often cliché. A few quick suggestions would be “Jardín Tranquilo”, ” Jardín de Sueños”, or just “Soñando”, but I think that my favorite would be “Belleza Restaurada”

The best author in making such beautiful descriptions was Antoine de Saint-Exupéry you might check him out~!

This poem of mine may give you an idea.

Most names that I came up with which seemed to fit, also were cliché, but “trash to beauty” should be acknowledged for what it is.. The best author for such descriptions of extremes of beauty was Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

here are a few: Belleza Restaurada Soñando Jardín Tranquilo Jardín de Sueños Maybe reading a poem about my place will give you a thought of your own. https://mcouvillion.wordpress.com/2020/01/14/good-morning/

    But you can’t use”perdidos“, it’s already taken~! Ha~!

    maybe something like

    Vida Encontrada

Thanks, Derrick. Good idea duly noted. Pausa al Pasor or Una Pausa en Tu Pasa which are translationg of Pause in Passing and A Pause in Your Passing! Thanks–your suggestion may very well win.

Judy,I pass by every morning at dawn or a bit before. I pause, stare, take a deep breath (it’s half way up the steep hill!), and move on feeling peaceful again. I don’t need a name and won’t suggest one but thank you for the simple beauty.

You can’t imagine how wonderful it was to hear this. My neighbors who look down on it have all commented on it, but other than that, yours is the first comment I’ve had by passers-by and it alone makes it worth all the effort. By this weekend, Quetzalcoatl will have plumes on his tail. Then I’ll stain it and he will be finished. What next? Even I don’t know. oxoxo
