About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

My little dear scared me to death by getting stuck between slats of the metal fence he never should have attempted to get through, above ground level so his feet weren’t touching the ground and with his feet stuck in the wire we’d wound so he wouldn’t try to get through further down.. No telling how long he’d been stuck there as I was in Guad for the day. Then I had an anxiety attack trying to free him, calling out for help from neighbors and friends who couldn’t hear me.. which led to an asthma attack as I was so panicked. He just will not give up no matter what we do to try to contain him! I finally got him free. He really does need to be in a circus.

Oh Judy. What a thing! I can’t imagine the sense of panic but you saved him. Oh. What a terrible love that dog is. I’m relieved that you didn’t have a heart attack trying to save him. Gretchen was so good we would get careless and a couple of times not adequately shut the gate to her dog pen which was under that huge tree in our back yard. She would run off very occasionally and always when it was snowing . We were panicky and looked all over for her. Called dog pound. Etc. We always found her the next day and she was always stinky. She had found most vile delicacies to roll in which demanded a bath before we could properly love her again. Other than a couple of such escapades, she was the most awesome dog we’ve ever had. I can’t keep up with your posts, sorry to say.Would you flag me when there’s something you’d especially like me to read. I am slowing down a good deal, hon. Apologies! I do love each one that I open. (Also I’m very busy on Instagram and Facebook…have lotsa new friends and could stay on my device all day but my eyes don’t like that.) Love you. Ann
