I am fascinated with the stamens and pistils of the hibiscus. So showy.

I think all of mine do, but I believe you are correct. I have seen photos of flowers that look like hibiscus that are not so prominent. Do you drink hibiscus tea? It is very common here. Called Jamaica and drunk cold.

Made with just one variety of hibiscus–dark red flowers and smaller than other varieties.

They are “Hibiscus Sabdariffa” also known as Roselle. Is that the variety you have? Called Jamaica in Mexico.
