Great collection. I love the native drummer on the bottom. And who cannot love the baby birds. How on earth did you find them? It looks like a mud nest on a patio. Your home? And thank you for capturing laughter. Nothing like a good laugh.
Their parent birds built their nest on the top of an eight foot long dusting brush in my neighbor’s garage. They raised their chicks in it and when they flew away and the parents had started to lay more eggs, they finally took the brush down..The grown up nestlings still perch on the bush beside their front door each night to sleep!
That’s sweet that they stick around in the bushes. Yes, I know the feeling of having to take nests down. My daughter’s patio became a prime spot and it just became a mess. Anyway…nice photos, Judy.
Nice selection. Especially liked the photo of the hungry hatchlings. I don’t get to see nestlings often. If the nest is in the open I avoid looking closely in case I alert a predator to the nestlings.
This was a perfect placement as it was at the top of a long thin stick used to dust the ceiling of my neighbor’s garage. It had a big dust mop on the end of it up by the ceiling that was large enough to support the nest but the stick was too thin for the cats to climb.
Love your diverse gallery, Judy. The little ones! I read in your comments about their nest. Lovely. And the angry dogs and the cats, oh, I can hear every sound here. Well done!

That’s such a perfect safe space! Maybe we should plant more of such tree-mops for their sake.

It was propped up in the corner so stable enough for birds.

Dual purpose but unfortunately they aren’t much good for dispelling dust once they are covered in bird guano.
