About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

You’re a marvelous writer. Your words took me there, sitting with you on the sand, senses wide open, receptive to sight sound, feeling s. I experienced these magnificent birds with you..

They used to be all around me as I exercised in the ocean.. I loved observing them. These however are from Lake Chapala. Their black sections on their wings aren’t evident when they are in float mode but luckily got one stetching his wings.

They’re wonderful to watch when they are fishing from the air — they remind me of bouncing balls, landing on the surface of the water and keeping themselves above the water as they dive for their fish!
