Lost and Found

Determined not to ask one more time for Yolanda to find something for me, I combed the house for my driving glasses for at least 5 minutes.  Finally, I asked her to please be on the lookout for them, at which point, she pointed to my head! (The glasses attached to my nose and ears are my reading glasses.)

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Sveral years ago I was helping a friend look for his distance glasses — he had several pairs, and we could find all but the ones he wanted. Finally, in exasperation, I sat down on the bed, and put my hands on the surface of the bed — right next to the glasses we’d been hunting for! I have several pairs of glasses, but, since that experience, each has a home where it stays until needed!

I’d settle for once a day. Sadly, my wanderings in search of glasses are more numerous. Yes I do have set places to store them, but then I have to make a quick trip to the store and swap reading for driving and absent-mindedly lay them down somewhere, or, as in the case of my second-to-last two pairs of glasses, find them in the lower garden, chewed up by the new puppy, earpieces chewed off and even the lenses chewed to the point where they were rendered useless. It’s a hard hard world. ;o)
