Crabs!!
A consortium of crabs can be an itchy deal.
Not the sort of gathering that one wants to feel.
Perhaps out on the beach it’s easier to bear,
but crabs should never gather in anybody’s hair!

Yolanda tells me that when Yoli goes to school, they have to be sure to wind her hair up and put it on top of her head as there are people who steal the hair of children and women with long hair to sell it for wigs. Some world.

Amazing what people would do for a buck. She does have gorgeous hair.

She does, but she cut it all off and sold it herself to buy a bicycle, I believe. Her hair is growing out again, though still above her shoulders.

Teenage logic – hair grows but bicycles don’t. This reminds me of the famous Gui de Maupassant’s story, but there, the young lady cut her hair off and solf it to buy a gift for her husband, not a bicycle for hersself. It also reminds me how I cut my hair after 7th grade just because it was too heavy, and my grandmother saved it in order to make my first wig when I gor married.

It’s a bit harder to find money for a bike in Mexico. She found an enterprising way to earn one for herself.
