Art Camp Day 2, Aug 6, 2024

Yesterday most of the bracelet builders were girls. Today most of them were boys. Without exception, the girls created delicate bracelets of (usually pink) seed beeds that I had difficulty even seeing, but they had no difficulty stringing on the wire.  The boys, on the other hand, picked the biggest and chunkiest (and most expensive) beads. Not one, however, balked at putting it on and wearing it. Fun day. My last as I need to get ready to fly to El Norte.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Yes the boys were so sweet. I love it that they all were perfectly willing to wear those bracelets even though some were really showy. It was most of the girls who were more sedate in their choices.
