The thousands of acres on fire nearby for days must have been responsible for this remarkable firey red sun that I photographed for a mile or so as we drove home along city streets. Amazing. Even more surprising was the fact that we smelled no smoke!
Judy, I love how you get wrapped up in anything and everything, and the joy and beauty you see and share with us, from everywhere! You are such an artistic soul! Such a childlike artistic soul! Laurie

Wow — what a great series of sun photos. The wind was blowing sideways to your view, thus the lack of smoke smell, but that leads to the most amazing colors and vistas of an object normally so difficult to capture! Those are outstanding photos!

I don’t actually like this but the photos are beautiful. Terrible fires, though.

Now THAT is a glowing orb! Gorgeous. Pity it has to come with a smoky fire.

These photos are so beautiful Judy. Though the fire must be concerning for the people there.

So many animals perished that couldn’t escape the fire. That’s the saddest part.
