Before and After

I just spent a few early morning hours repainting the ledge on the wall. If you see the before and after photos below, you will see why it was necessary. It has been for a long time but the garden tour I’m participating in in a week (yikes) served as incentive to finally do so. There are plants and sculptures that go on the wall. I’ll take a photo when the paint dries and Pasiano is here to help me lift the heavy stones.

Actually, I completed this project hours ago but when i went out to take the “after ” photo, I spotted a Bird of Paradise clump that badly needed thinning out and that led to another and another and so….that led to having to come in to bandage all the cuts and pokes that could have been avoided if I’d just used gloves. Story of my life.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Looks fabulous! A gardener’s work is never done.

I thought your garden tour was this weekend, but no, you have another week of last minute changes!

See you Mon at the restaurant, whose name escapes me, for Canada Day… this comment not for blog unless you want to use first line only.

Meanwhile, I ordered a Crescent myself. The trick is to hit the orange strip after it describes KU, and says “or”….. Like you and Blue and someone else, I didn’t

Understand that. I think the problem is that we are really intelligent but this following directions sense is…perhaps damaged. People like my landlady had

No such problems, but we (me, too) were afraid of hitting KU. I kept trying to hit that very small white box on top, under Kindle Unlimited, until I thought, what the hell, I’ll try orange button.

I always order one free book for me so it displays on my kindle rather than in my email if I have

To look something up in the front or back of book.)
