Lantana, for FOTD, Nov 20, 2024

It has been a long time since I included photos of Lantana in my FOTD. I removed all of the bushes when I noticed the dogs were “grazing” on them as I’d discovered they were poisonous to dogs. I did plant one outside the wall in front of my huse and just noticed it when I was checking out the growth there. They grow to tree size in Mexico, sometimes, but so far this plant has curbed its growth. So glad to see one still on my property. They are so hearty and in California I had lots of them in the lower garden as they were deer resistant and also  most insects.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.
