Santa Makes a Comeback

I just couldn’t let Santa die a final piñata death, so I removed him from his shattered shell and did a bit of reclamation work and now here he is, gracing the door of my garage. If you didn’t see Santa’s former role, the story is here: https://judydykstrabrown.com/2024/12/22/breaking-pinatas-for-cellpic-sunday-dec-22-2024/

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Merry Christmas, Judy. What a lovely house you have, full of love, vibrant colors, and often friends along with your lovely animal babies. Who could ask for anything more? Thank you for another year of wonderful stories and poems. I am just starting to color in your book, “When Old Dames Get Together.” I will let you know what I think of it in the new year, but I can tell you that the cover makes me want to go out and dance, regardless of the pains and aches of age.

Thank you for saving Santa. He’s quite a hunk, hung on your door. Have the best holidays you can. Let us make merry as long as we can. The last decade has been one huge voyage. I think I need some time in port and friends to enjoy it with. Merry merry!
