I have not sleepwalked since I was a child… but I still remember waking up in the wrong place of the house.

The only times I remember going to sleep in one place and waking up in another was when we’d be going on vacation and my dad always liked to get an early start so he’d pick us up from our beds and carry us out to the car in our pajamas and I’d wake up 100 miles down the road! Exciting. I loved to travel even then.

Thanks, Sadje. It was actually a poem of 300 words that I condensed down to the 44 to form a quatrain. It was a fun exercise! Here it is if you want to read the original. https://judydykstrabrown.com/2017/05/20/patterns-hinted-at-in-dreams/

I like the thought of dreams giving hints. Love the way you mimicked the stairs with the shape of your quadrille.

Unfortunately, WP destroys the shape when publishing them so I had to resort to a photograph of the poem. Shape poems and WP don’t mix!

I agree! Glad you found a way around it.

Couldn’t get rid of the gray, though. Don’t know why.
