My new book “If I Were Water and You Were Air” is hot off the presses. You can buy it in soft cover or ebook HERE.
Like water that nourishes life or brings destruction, love can be both a blessing and a curse. This memoir in verse spans five decades and three countries with poems that reflect on love, loss and life’s complexities, drawing from personal experiences and emotions. “How many loves, senora?” my helper in Mexico asked me wistfully, during my first months after my move to Mexico. “Oh many,” I had answered. “I was nearly 40 when I married and I had traveled the world,”

        Hi Judy,

        I miss you too and that, usually at this time of the year, we’re making plans for our next gathering. I know we talked about everyone (or all that we are now) coming to San Diego for our next…maybe sometime in the spring. I’m planning a road trip in mid-March, but maybe we can make something happen otherwise.

        I spoke to Leslie yesterday and she told me she’d been with you recently in Mexico and how lovely to be in hammocks in the evening having lovely conversations.

        About the Kindle edition of When Your Heart Says Go. Amazon says this version is available in audio, using their kindle audible app. You probably have that. I know it sounds “unnatural,” but yes, you can hear it that way. Leslie and I keep talking about me coming to her house to do an audio version, but we haven’t made the time. Now she’s in the midst of book promotion for “Nineteen,” so that won’t happen anytime soon. Meantime, here’s the link for the kindle which you can listen to:

    Unfortunately, I had forgotten one problem. The type is so small that I can barely read it. I can’t find any place where it is on audible. Is it on any e-books that have a function where things can be read to you? My vision is getting worse and worse…and I am terrible, I’m embarrassed to say, at locating things online. It’s getting harder and harder. If you could give me an URL, I would love to listen to your book this time. i think I am enjoying reading it even more this time than the first. I love how much you are “in” the book. How much you show your thoughts –your hopes and visions of the year ahead of you. Makes me wish I were along!
