With all of these nationwide No Kings rallies..up to 200,000 strong, what do folks do when they need a restroom? Were portapotties provided? Must have been a formidable task…
Me either, but when I saw 200,000 people all squeezed shoulder-to-shoulder, I wondered where they would put the portapotties and how you’d even get to them!!!
Judy it is funny you should ask. No porta potties provided where we were, and after 2 hours, Miss Bladder was screaming. We had a good block to walk back to the car, which was parked at an LST393 memorial free parking lot that is also adjacent to a large complex of buildings. I saw one grey portapottie *inside* their tall chain link fence, but as we drove by it on the way to the street, I saw the security gate was open. At that point I stopped the car, jumped out and ran for it. Got there just in time. A guard came out just as I got back to the car. I rolled the window down and yelled sorry I had to go. He waved his hand as if to say that’s ok. Probably way more info than you wanted.
The other one in town was out by the mall and a Bob Evans nearby so protestors could probably go in there to use their facilities.
Most of the No Kings events (at least in my surrounding neighborhoods) are two hours long. I know I can usually last more than two hours. Probably the organizers keep it short to keep it simple. (Plus, no one has to stay the full time. All are free to come and go as they please.)
I’ve attended two of the three held in Mexico. During the third, I was participating in an art show and couldn’t go. The participants were in the hundreds, not thousands, so no problem.

So true. A problem shared is a problem halved.

But can you imagine 200,000 protesters at once? How could they possibly all find a place?

Good point, Judy! I think most of the mega ones are in urban areas, so plenty of stores around to use their facilities.

But imagine 200,000 people trying to rush into them? And many demonstartions seemed not to be in an area with stores..
