We finally spotted a flock of these toucans we’d been looking for for three weeks at the Chacchoben Mayan ruins last week. We fly home today!!!!

Lucky you. Jealous. I have never seen a Toucan not even in zoos

It’s always a plus when the target appears, even at the last minute when almost all hope was lost!

Even better, actually. We never did see a jaguar, though. Only the pawprints of one.

Your fur babies were happy to see you as much as you were happy to see the Toucan (possibly more)! Welcome back home.

I’m hoping to capture images of Mayan ruins, toucans and more in February while exploring both coasts of Mexico.

That is the advantage of taking your bed along with you. We lived on the road a lot when we were doing art shows with our camper van–Bed, bathroom, fridge. We’d sometimes just pull over in a neighborhood a night and then be gone by 6 so we didn’t have to hunt down a campground. During shows we’d park in the events center parking lot with lots of other artists doing the same. My favorite way to travel.
