It takes a community to claim and tame a puppy–Wonderful news. The puppies have all been adopted!!!! I am so happy.

First of all, Fabi , whose family adopted and named Bonita, brought her over to play with her sisters.

Then , the next day, Oscar came over to bond with Chloe and Cookie. (Yes, in the process of  their various adventures, Chloe and Cookie got names, too, at least to tide them over until their new families claim them. They are still up for grabs!!!)

And then in the afternoon, neighbors Caro and Diego came over to work their magic. Chloe and Cookie bonded immediately with Diego, and rapidly after with his mom. Such a joy watching them. Diego is the one who came up with the name Cookie and it was perfect, because although Diego had no knowledge of it, another neighbor, Dolores, had come over the first day I had them with a box full of non-chocolate cookies and their biggest fan when they were dispensed in small pieces over the course of a week, was, you guessed it..the dog who would come to be named Cookie!

Thanks to these kind friends and neighbors, the pups have slept without a bark, whimper or growl so far tonight. As worn out as I am. If it were not for wanting to tell you this story, I, too, would be sound asleep…Call 331-860-5304 if you would like to give one of these puppies a home..or even to visit them!

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.
