Lucky Thirteen

Today, on October 13, i just posted by 13,303rd blog.. which I started in 2013, 13 years ago. That’s a lot of 13s!

The clinical phobia of the number 13 is known as triskaidekaphobia, but  the number 13 carries a dual meaning across different cultures, symbolizing bad luck and superstition in the West, as well as transformation, renewal and sacred unity in numerology, ancient traditions and other regions.

I’m choosing to take the second meaning and so look forward to transformation, renewal and sacred unity in the remainder of my life!!!

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Judy, I think 13 has officially become your lucky number! ❤️

13,303 posts is an extraordinary accomplishment not simply because of the number, but because each post represents a moment of creativity, reflection, and connection shared with your readers.

I love that you choose transformation and renewal over superstition. May this next chapter bring you plenty of both.

Congratulations, Judy and here’s to many thousands more! 🎉🥂

Here’s my very similar experience on WP from several years ago now 👌

When post #777 became published ~ for the then-7,770th viewer ~ yours foolie backed through her stats to check her home page: At that moment, “Timeless Classics” was receiving its 77th visitor of the day, and the poet’s device battery exactly 77% charged…
